bloemfontein l maternity photographer ~ a hospital session

this maternity session was one with quite a difference, in that it was done in the hospital.

i was really looking forward to this young mom’s maternity session, here in Bloemfontein, which she booked well in advance.  i had already done her first baby’s newborn session when baby number 1 arrived a couple of weeks early too.

it was very worrying when mom-to-be landed up in hospital quite a few times, with many, many scares.

we decided to do the maternity session in the hospital, in case this baby came early too. this shoot was done at about 24 weeks.

i must add, that i found it a very emotional session, yet very rewarding too.

i thoroughly enjoyed it!

the story ends well tho – you’ll see the beautiful mama’s second maternity shoot when i post it later on in the week – we managed to do an outdoor one a couple of weeks later.

and baby stayed put for a while longer, but did come early nonetheless.
